This alpine hut is a modern architecture masterpiece in the term of modern mountain hut..it is build on the Monte Rosa massif above Gorner Glacier (Gornergletscher) which is the second largest glacier of the Alps.
Through this glacier leads in sommer marked "normal route" to the Monte Rosa Hut. Every year is the path to hut hut on the glacier changing a little bit, depending on the glacier conditions and how fast it moves/melts. :(

From the Rotenboden Station it is perfectly doable in one day.. From Rotenboden it takes about 3 Hours to get there.
