This video examines the real world inspiration behind each coaster type in the original Roller Coaster Tycoon games. Turns out, nearly every coaster type in the game was based off of an actual coaster model, even the wacky ones.

**UPDATE**
Reddit user Mooco2 kindly pointed out a few bits of missing info that I wanted to put here for those nerdier than I.
1. The Mini Coaster (Rocket Cars) were likely inspired by Blackpool Pleasure Beach's Space Invader II, despite its resemblance to the American-made Space Mountain.
2. There WAS a single-rail motorbike themed coaster! Motor Cycle Chase at Knott's Berry Farm, which was actually later re-themed to the Wacky Soap Box Derby ride seen in the video.
3. RCT1 included a train with 2-across seating on the Inverted Roller Coaster, based off of the sole Giovanola inverted coaster built at South Africa's Gold Reef City.
4. The B&M flyer was not in RCT1, but the Lay Down coaster was.
