Making a HANDMADE Wallet Out of ROCADO Shell Cordovan

Описание к видео Making a HANDMADE Wallet Out of ROCADO Shell Cordovan

Hello and welcome to another leather crafting tutorial. In today’s video we’ll be working on a bifold wallet made out of 100% ROCADO Shell Cordovan in “Marbled” Burgundy color. This wallet is inspired in an existing wallet design I used to carry as my EDC and that I occasionally use when traveling.

I stopped using it as my EDC since I didn’t liked the way the leather aged on the original product. It was made out of natural "Chromexcel" and while this leather might look great on shoes and boots, I feel it looks dirty and sloppy as a wallet, which is why I opted to recreate it as a new EDC wallet that will be in my rotation products.

As mentioned previously, this wallet is made out of a lovely marbled color from ROCADO leather, and is hand-stitched using some linen thread from Fil au Chinois in matching “cuivre” color. It has been hand-burnished and polished with some Tokonole burnishing gum and was left with a natural finish and appearance on the edges.

While shopping online for this leather I also managed to get a piece of black shiny alligator leather and will replicate the same wallet using this leather to compare its looks and hopefully use that one as my formal wallet and this Shell cordovan one for a tougher environment at my work.

Friends, as always, thank you so much for watching this video. If you liked what you saw and wish to see more leather projects like this one I invite you to subscribe to the channel and hit the notification bell to be the first ones to know whenever I post a new video. I post content on leather crafting projects, leather product reviews and much more.

Once again, thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next one. Have a great day!
