1,000 Days of Ukraine War: North Korean Troops in Russia Could Grow to 100,000, Zelensky Tells EU

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday thanked the members of the European Union for their continued support as the Russia-Ukraine war reached its 1,000th day. While addressing the European Parliament via a video conference, Zelensky reiterated that Europe had the "power" to stop the war. He added that the North Korean troop contingent in Russia could grow to 100,000, from the present strength of around 11,000. While claiming that it was only Russia which opposed the 'peace formula', Zelensky called for imposing strong sanctions on Russia, adding that Putin depended upon the "money power" to sustain the war. Thanking all the EU member nations, he said that they needed to engage in meaningful negotiations, and end the war "fairly and justly".
