Unit 44: Contract Of Pledge

The bailment of goods as security for payment of a debt or performance of a promise is called ‘pledge’.
The bailor is in this case called ‘pawnor’.
The bailee is called ‘pawnee’.
A contract in relation to an identified Goods to be delivered to the pledgee as security;
Actual delivery of possession of the identified Goods in pursuance of the contract
