Women in Construction - Mishelle Yam, Community and Place Manager at the Public Sector

Did you know that studying construction can lead you to work in the public sector for the governments? Mishelle Yam, Community and Place Manager, is a great example of this, showing the abundant opportunities of working in the construction industry. In her role, she develops, manages, and delivers social infrastructure projects for the local community. She looks at under-utilised assets and turns them into valuable resources for the community. As a returning working parent, Mishelle feels that women are now highly regarded in the industry. Women bring different ways of thinking which make social infrastructure more well considered with better outcomes for the community.
