Automate 2024

Back in the early 1990s, it was not uncommon to hear that the heyday of robotics was over. According to some, industrial robotics peaked in the 1980s, with robotic sales dwindling in the early 1990s as industry—mostly automotive manufacturers—had installed about all the robots they were going to buy. Needless to say, such comments were extremely shortsighted. As advanced as robotic technologies appear today, we’re only seeing the beginnings of their potential in industry and elsewhere.
