Data & AI Meetup: Politics and Media

Описание к видео Data & AI Meetup: Politics and Media

Throughout the past several years, data and AI have profoundly changed how information is created, disseminated and consumed. In the media, data is used to analyse audience behaviour and automate news production, and algorithms dictate what people do or do not see.

Whilst these technologies curate a tailored feed of information for each user, there is a risk this can lead to creating echo chambers, reinforcing existing beliefs. Moreover, with the advent of deepfakes and synthetic content, it's ever more important that we can trust the authenticity of news and stop the spread of misinformation.

With the media playing such a significant role in how we view the world and how our political opinions are formed, we invite you to join us at Bayes Centre for our next Data & AI Meetup where we’ll be discussing Data & AI’s impact on politics and media!
