The Hope for Grace documentary brings important messages of resilience, faith and courage of Grace Acan, one of the Aboke Girls, whose life and education were shattered when abducted at age 15 and held in captivity for 8 years by Joseph Kony's LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) in Uganda. It is believed that 20,000+ northern Ugandan children have been abused as sex and labour slaves and/or child soldiers at the hands of the rebels. As Grace rebuilds her life and education, her core message is the power of education to transform lives. She shares her dream to provide education for her own children and restore dignity to the 200 returning mothers who also endured abduction and sex slavery.
Grace inspires us to safeguard the human rights of all children and take action to transform lives through education.
