GRIAN CHATTEN - THURSDAY APRIL 23RD / RTÉ ONE
Hailing from Skerries in North Dublin, Grian Chatten is the lead singer of one of the most exciting Irish bands on the music scene at the minute, Fontaines DC. The band draws on numerous and diverse Irish influences including the works of James Joyce, Patrick Kavanagh, The Dubliners and the Pogues. Fontaines DC’s first album “Dogrel” received widespread critical acclaim and was nominated for the 2019 Mercury Prize. Grian talks to The Works Presents about his love of poetry, pursuing a career in the music business and protecting his creativity.

The Works Presents returns with a new five-part series in which John Kelly meets key Irish figures from the arts. In conversations with John, these key creative forces, share insights into how and why they work in their chosen fields. John explores what inspires them and how it drives them.
And often the conversations throw up other interesting facts...
