Emerald Airlines ATR 72-600 Belfast City to Manchester | Full Flight

Описание к видео Emerald Airlines ATR 72-600 Belfast City to Manchester | Full Flight

The 2nd new airline of the day for me. Following the unfortunate collapse of Stobart Air in 2021, Emerald Airlines is the new operator of all Aer Lingus regional flights. As with FlyBe 2.0, the airline has taken on a number of the formers aircraft. The ATR's operated by Emerald are painted in Aer Lingus' smart new livery and operate primarily from Dublin and Belfast City.

I arrived at Belfast City Airport at 17:00 for an 18:35 departure, and by 17:05 I was through security and airside. BHD is an absolutely fantastic little airport, and to be honest, I was there far too early bearing in mind how short all the wait times were. Unfortunately, Manchester Airport being Manchester Airport delayed our inbound aircraft on it's previous rotation meaning we didn't get going until about 20 minutes before we were due to land. This flight was a fair bit fuller than the FlyBe one but the aircraft still felt comfortable. Once we were underway from Belfast the crew offered a glass of water (Strangely served in a TUI cup!) and a snack. I'm a big fan of these new regional airlines offering complimentary service, it brings them level with the likes of Loganair and Eastern. We ended up landing into Manchester around 35 minutes late, a quirk of arriving into MAN T1 on a domestic flight is that not all stands allow direct disembarkation to the UK arrivals area, meaning you need a bus journey on arrival. The whole arrival process was still fairly efficient.

So overall, a brilliant flight with Emerald. The departure and arrival experiences were really straightforward and easy, despite the delays. Onboard the ATR I was pleasantly surprised with the cabin, great legroom, a coathook and even a reclining seat, on an ATR 72! The snack and drink was once again very much welcome and the cabin crew on this flight were really professional and friendly. A fantastic domestic flight in the UK!
