I’m sharing the exact recipes I use for our homemade shampoo, body wash, sunscreen, toothpaste, and deodorant—all made with simple, nourishing ingredients you can actually recognize. 🌿
These are the tried-and-true recipes I use for myself and my family. They’re gentle, affordable, and a beautiful way to live a little closer to nature without the overwhelm.

Recipes:

Shampoo:
¼ cups of coconut cream
⅓ cup of castile soap
1 tbsp of honey
1 tbsp of aloe Vera
Rosemary

Body wash:
⅓ cup liquid castile soap
⅓ cup honey
⅓ cup almond oil
Couple drops of vitamin e oil
Couple drops of tea tree oil

Sunscreen:
1/4 cup coconut oil (has an SPF of 7)
2 (or more) tbsp. powdered zinc oxide
2 tbsp aloe vera
2 tbsp vitamin e oil (or oil of choice)
½ cup shea butter
2 tbsp of bees wax
Instructions
Combine all ingredients, except the zinc oxide and aloe vera gel, in a medium saucepan. Let the shea butter and oils melt together at medium heat.
Cool completely before adding zinc oxide and aloe vera. Mix well to make sure everything is completely distributed.

Tooth paste:
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp xylitol powder
5 drops peppermint essential oil


Deodorant:
2 tbsp of arrowroot powder
2 tbsp of baking powder
¼ cup of coconut oil
A couple of drops of vitamin E oil
A couple of drops of essential oil

Conditioner:
2 tbsp liquid coconut oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp avocado oil
Optional: 5 drops rosemary essential oil
