"Naralachi Vadi" is a simple Maharashtrian sweet dish made up of only 3 ingredients.
Ingredients:
2 cups grated coconut (fresh)
1 of a cup sugar or jaggery (grated or chopped)
2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:
Cooking the Mixture: In a container or kadhai, heat ghee over low heat. Add the grated coconut and roast it gently for 5 minutes.
Next, add the grated jaggery to the pan. Stir continuously as the jaggery melts and combines with the coconut. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and turns slightly golden and releases its aroma. (8-10 minutes)
Add sprinkle the cardamom powder into the mixture.

Setting the Mixture:
Greasing a plat with a little ghee to prevent the mixture from sticking.
Transfer the mixture to the greased plate.
Use a spatula to flatten it out to your desired thickness.
If you like, sprinkle chopped nuts such as almonds, cashews, or pistachios on top.
Allow the it to cool down completely at room temperature.
Use a sharp knife to cut it into square shaped pieces.
