Recreating an 8 Bit Memory for Diecast Heroes: Cisco Heat Custom Diecast Police Cruiser w/ Damage

In case you haven't heard, Diecast Heroes Magazine is a FANTASTIC resource for the diecast custom culture. For issue three, they challenged customizers to submit customs paying tribute to their favorite video games past and present. This was the first thing I thought of was an obscure arcade classic I spent way too much money on as a kid: Cisco Heat.

To recreate the unlicensed police cruiser, I looked at my extensive collection of 80s four door sedans from Hot Wheels to Matchbox to YatMing, but the closest I could find was the ERTL 1980 Pontiac Bonneville. It wasn't as simple as just slapping on some blue and white paint and add a star on the side. I needed to create full custom white toner graphics, 3D printed mirrors, light bar, and a hubcap-free steelie, add racing weather and damage...oh yeah, and correct the horribly yellowed plastic.
