LPA 93W Initial Update - Thursday, 05/23/24 (English Ver)

Watch out for the arrival of the Wet/Rainy Season next week, as the approaching LPA 93W is likely to become a Tropical Cyclone (Bagyo), and will pass over or very close to Samar and Bicol Area this weekend. This system will be named by PAGASA as “AGHON”. Expect heavy rains and thunderstorms with some gusty winds over Bicol, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and some parts of Mindanao. This system together with the Frontal System up north, will eventually enhance the SW Monsoon (Habagat) on Monday through Wednesday bringing occasional rains across some parts of the country.
