Fall foraging | Wild fruit and nuts in the Northeast U.S.

In this video I decided to bring the camera along on some lovely autumn walks and talk about some of the wild edible nuts and fruits that can be foraged in the Northeast United States. Many of these plants are Native to the U.S. and can be found growing in many different regions of the country. Though some of the plants are considered invasive to some parts of the country they provide nutritious and often medicinal fruits that can be harvested in larger amounts. In this video we talk about black walnut, shagbark hickory, spicebush, persimmon, frost grape, multiflora rose and autumn olive. Persimmon hunting was a large part of fall foraging this year and we had lots of fun coming up with creative ways to get some of them. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the rest of autumn.
