Making a Box Joint Jig and a Box

I built myself a nice shelf but now I need some containers to store stuff in.

Instead of buying, why not build!! What a mantra to live by eh.

So I decided to build some wooden boxes. But these boxes will be like nothing I have ever built before. They will have box joints in them.

So to build box joints I need a box joint jig. So let's build one of those too!!

I checked YouTube, where else, to do some research on box joints and box joint jigs. I found a channel called “Stumpy Nubs” and he has a great video about making a simple box joint jig. Here's a link to the channel:

So using the info I gained from Stumpy, and some other videos, I set out to make a box joint jig and then a box. I think it turned out pretty good. I know the box joints are certainly good and strong.
