Audio-opname vernissage Tafelzetting #10. In gesprek met hé! architectuur.

De tiende editie van Tafelzetting is gewijd aan het werk van hé! architectuur het Brusselse architectuurbureau opgericht door Hanne Eckelmans en Renée Verhulst. Hun woonarchitectuur verbindt de vraag van hun opdrachtgevers met een kritische lezing van bestaande panden en een uitgesproken ecologische ambitie. Van daaruit ontstaan eigenzinnige combinaties van vertrouwde en innovatieve materialen, met evenwichtige verhoudingen tussen ruimte, licht en kleur.
In Tafelzetting #10 presenteert hé! vier projecten in evenveel kolommen, opgebouwd uit een vaste set tafels. In de kolommen verschijnen de projecten grotendeels via de lens van architectuurfotograaf Tim Van de Velde, met een bijzondere aandacht voor de karakteristieke materialen, kleuren, en bewoners van elk huis. Ontwerpmethodes als inbreiding en demonteerbaarheid vormen een rode draad.

Over Tafelzetting
Tafelzetting is een reeks tentoonstellingen over jonge architecten uit Vlaanderen en Brussel, geproduceerd door DE SINGEL en het Vlaams Architectuurinstituut (VAi). Elke editie stelt een jonge ontwerppraktijk zichzelf voor op het plein voor DE SINGEL. Ze doen dit met een kleurrijke set tafels, een ontwerp van Laura Muyldermans, die de tentoonstelling dragen en dienstdoen als straatmeubilair, telkens in een nieuwe opstelling.

The tenth edition of Table setting is dedicated to the work of hé! architectuur the Brussels-based architecture studio founded by Hanne Eckelmans and Renée Verhulst. Their residential architecture connects their clients' demands with a critical reading of existing building and a pronounced ecological ambition. From there, distinctive combinations of familiar and innovative materials emerge, with balanced relationships between space, light and colour.
In Table Setting #10, hé! presents four projects in as many columns, constructed from a fixed set of tables. In the columns, the projects appear largely through the lens of architectural photographer Tim Van de Velde, with a particular focus on the characteristic materials, colours, and occupants of each house. Design methods such as infill and disassembly form a common thread.

About Table setting
Table setting is a series of exhibitions on young architects from Flanders and Brussels, produced by DE SINGEL and Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi). Each edition, a young design practice presents itself on the square in front of DE SINGEL. They do so with a colourful set of tables, a design by Laura Muyldermans, which carry the exhibition and serve as street furniture, each time in a new arrangement.
