How to fix the issue of no coffee/water coming out during first use or when the pump is operating?

If you're using the CM5418 for the first time and notice there's no water flow from the brew head when pressing the 1-cup or 2-cup buttons, or if the machine is running but not extracting coffee, it could be due to a vacuum issue with the pump. Don’t worry! In this video, we’ll explain why this happens and show you some quick and effective solutions.

There are a few common reasons for this issue. If the coffee machine has been stored for a long time, especially in a hot and dry environment, the pump may have dried out, affecting its performance. Another factor could be that the water tank isn’t positioned correctly, creating a vacuum that obstructs water flow. Lastly, if the water tank runs dry during use, it can empty the internal system, leading to a dried-out pump.

But don’t worry, this is an easy fix:
1. First, reinstall the water tank a couple of times to ensure it’s properly positioned.
2. Next, turn on the CM5418 and wait for the preheating process to finish. Once all the lights are on and stop flashing, you can move forward.
3. Place a cup under the steam wand and turn the steam knob to the 'WATER' position. Let the hot water run for about 20 seconds to help clear any blockages.
4. After that, turn the steam knob back to the 'OFF' position, and you should be able to use the brew function to extract coffee normally!
