Meet Checkers, a gorgeous Belgian Malinois available for adoption through Phoenix Animal Rescue! In today’s video, Checkers is blowing her coat — which means she’s shedding her thick undercoat to prepare for the new season. We give her a full deshedding bath and show you how to manage shedding for double-coated dogs like her.

Checkers wasn’t thrilled about the tub at first (who can blame her?), but she did amazing overall and left feeling fresh, clean, and beautiful! ✨
