Canyon strive On - Underdog Video review

Описание к видео Canyon strive On - Underdog Video review

Decided to do a review on my new ride Canyon's Strive On Underdog . I already own a Canyon Strive (Acoustic ) So I had some experience with Canyon's , Which has been all good 👍 . I was considering the Strive On ltd but $3000 is quite a bit more $$$ than the Underdog . So I thought if I needed I could make some changes and still save a few Bucks with the Underdog . Well after a few rides I got to say I am really impressed with the Strive On Underdog . This Bike handles like a lighter bike, More playful bike. I have a Niner Rip E9 which I really like too , but that bike is Velcroed to the ground , which when going thru the rock gardens in So Utah isn't a bad thing. The Canyon feels more nimble while being stable too, maybe it's because it's a Mullet wheel bike . One reason I wanted to try this Canyon Strive On out was the Geometry, That always my 1st concern in a bike purchase .And I think they Nailed it . I am 5"- 9.1/2" and the Medium is a perfect fit. Alot of Bikes feel way too short in the top tube to me. Try some bikes from the early days of MTBing , they were really short and steep :( You can always work on suspension, but if a frame doesn't fit you , your screwed.

The components on the Underdog were a concern for me too. But so Far I have no complaints . I been riding Sram components for some time now, But I got to say the Shimano Deore has been working really good., No need to upgrade till I break something there. The forks (Fox Rhythm) were another concern as they are a Lower end Fox product. I have RS Jeb's on my other bike and really like them (alot) and wasn't sure how the Foxes would compared. But again another surprise for me . They work really well and still breaking in, So they should get even better, and if needed you can get the Fox grip 2 damper if you like some more adjustment. My last concern was the brakes, and mostly as a Front brake as I want as much power there as I can get . Well after replacing the front pads (organic) with sintered pads and getting them seated in I got to say they are working pretty good now . They do have a different feel and need a little more pressure from your hand. They actually feel more natural not mechanical - hard to explain :) So not bad .
Oh the stock seat is pretty good to which I find rare, so My butt is happy . Well I have gone on long enough, So thanks for watching and see ya on the trails
