Let's begin with step number 1 or question number 1: what will be the main topic of your channel or in general what will be your specialty. Standing out on the social media platforms are essential nowadays if you want to grow and build your own community. Within multiple topics, if you specialize and become an expert you will be able to stand out.

Find the main topic that you want to build a foundation on be it education, entertainment or informing and build a library surrounding the topic. By building that library you can establish yourself as an expert in the field and build the right expectations.

After you found your niche of interests the second step should be to understand the main drives in your demographic what factors that engage people the people to engage with your content, what are their interests outside of your videos what channels for they watch.

In the case of tierzoo's he understands that the people that are watching his channel have an understanding of gaming terminology.

The next thing to consider the longevity of your niche is it sustainable to create content in the long run for your niche are there enough topics to make videos, articles and more importantly is there an audience for this content if your goals are to grow an enormous audience or a strong and niche following. Always research the leaders in your niche and what is their current reach with your target audience.

Consider combining 2 different niche audiences to create a unique concept.

Now that you have an understanding of your audience and the niche you want to be in. Build structure in your concept and understand the terminology used with your audience. As we are talking about a niche it's possible to go more detailed and use language not often used outside of that niche itself. This might exclude some of the potential audience.
Create your own style, if you are active in a niche make sure that your channel, website or blog have a distinctive style so people will instantly understand in what market you operate. From your logo, typography, and imagery you use.

Eventually, when your audience base is large enough or topics in the niche have been exhausted consider branching out while staying close to your niche to avoid excluding your core audience that was attracted to your initial content. Usually, you can find this in the technology blogger side. Usually, they tend to start about a specific topic as time passes and the basis in terms of the niche content they tend to do more reviews for products that receive updates on a regular basis.
