Transperth C-Series Inaugural Journey

Описание к видео Transperth C-Series Inaugural Journey

On Sunday the 7th of April 2024, the new METRONET C-Series train ran on its inaugural journey from Perth Stadium to Whitfords and back, with VIPs, lottery winners, people working on the project, media and politicians. I was specially invited by Transport Minister Rita Saffioti's office to come and ride the first service departing Perth Stadium at around 11:10AM, along with a few other known enthusiasts including ‪@perthtransport1‬ and ‪@Renault1129‬ . Thanks a lot to the Minister's office for making this possible!

In this video we take a quick ride to the stadium on the older trains with a B-Series and A-Series, before listening to the commencement speeches from Roger Cook and Rita Saffioti. We then board the C-Series train with a few clips on the way up to Whitfords and then a full journey on the way back. The train will start full normal operations on the Joondalup and Mandurah Lines from Monday, 8th of April 2024.

The new C-Series is a full six-carriage walk through train assembled in WA with over 50% local materials, featuring more seating, more doors, and more space! It will be a great addition to the public transport network of our city on the busy Joondalup and Mandurah Lines!
