Welcome to Episode 17!

The year 2025 has truly been a historic and groundbreaking chapter for Pakistan tennis, filled with achievements that have elevated our sport to new heights,both nationally and internationally.

For the first time in Pakistan’s history, we successfully hosted three ITF Junior (J-60) tournaments in Islamabad. These events offered priceless international exposure to our young players. Among them, Mikaeel Ali Baig delivered exceptional performances, winning three ITF Junior singles titles-a remarkable achievement that has strengthened Pakistan’s presence on the global junior tennis map. Pakistani players also produced outstanding results worldwide, reflecting their hard work and rising potential.

In coaching development, Pakistan made major progress as five national coaches attended an international Coaches Workshop in Manila, enhancing their knowledge and contributing to the sport’s long-term growth. Meanwhile, our National Championships continued to build a more competitive and structured domestic platform.

A landmark achievement this year was the first-ever ATP Challenger hosted in Islamabad-an event of historic importance. Pakistan became the 97th country in the world, and Islamabad the 768th city, to host an ATP Challenger tournament. The event featured 25 international players and received widespread praise for its world-class organization. Pakistani players performed exceptionally well, with Muzammil Murtaza reaching the doubles final alongside Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, marking a proud moment for tennis in Pakistan.

On the international front, Pakistan earned another milestone by securing representation at the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl in the USA. This year, three Pakistani players are competing in this globally renowned event, having earned their spots through consistent and outstanding performances throughout 2025. Their participation highlights the rapid growth and rising talent within Pakistan tennis.
