Thank you for participating in the Pecha-kucha Storytelling Evening presented by the Japan-America Society of Greater Austin on Friday, July 31st.
Our first Pecha-Kucha presentation had several themes: 1) Community Engagement, 2) Grassroot Activities, and 3) US-Japan Friendship Development.

We invited four speakers to the event:
1) Misa Yamamoto is a Graphic Designer and Art Director based in Austin TX and is part of the art collective Essentials Creative, a multi-media collective producing holistic applied arts experiences.
2) Junro Narita is an academy head coach at Austin FC, a new expansion Major League Soccer (MLS) club in Austin, TX. Their aim is to nurture and develop future homegrown professional players.
3) Adam Doyle is currently working as a Campus Technologist. He talked about' Hatsune Miku, who is a Japanese pop culture Icon and has been inspiring fans all over the world for over a decade.
4) Mayu Takeda is an Associate Planner at a planning, urban design, and landscape architecture firm. Her portfolio includes small area and downtown master plans for small towns and disinvested communities as well as community-based design and planning of green infrastructure and resilience strategies.
