In this video I build one of my favourite pieces! It's an elegant curved serving tray. This tray is made from ash with an African padauk bottom, however it can be made from any woods! The sides of the tray spread apart like an acordian and are joined onto the sculpted handles with decorative dowel joints. The handles are very stylish but functional, they bend over to a thin point that is very comfortable in the hands. The piece is sanded to a silky smooth surface and finished with lemon oil.
