Motorcycle Adventure: New Tires, Border Crossing & Police Warning!

We ride from Osh, Kyrgyzstan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on our BMW R1300 GSA as part of our round the world motorcycle tour. The day begins at Zorro Moto in Osh, where we fit fresh Heidenau K60 Scout tires to prepare for the next stage of the journey. From there, we head towards the Uzbekistan border, documenting the entire border crossing process step by step so you know exactly what to expect if you plan to ride here yourself.

But no sooner had we crossed into Uzbekistan than we were stopped by police and warned not to speed. It was our very first taste of motorcycling in Uzbekistan and set the tone for the ride to Tashkent. Along the way, we share our experience of the roads, traffic, and first impressions of the country.

This episode combines practical tips for overland riders (tire changes, border formalities, road conditions) with the raw reality of being on a motorcycle world tour through Central Asia.
