Numenor New Ruler Parazon #lordoftherings The eagle arrives in the midst of a coronation ceremony in Númenor. Following the death of the aged king Tar-Palantir (Ken Blackburn) at the end of season 1, the throne of the island kingdom needs filling. The obvious candidate to succeed the late king is his daughter, Míriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), who has been ruling as regent in his place for years already. But Míriel is now blind after leading Númenoreans to battle in Middle-earth last season, which weakens her candidacy. Going into the ceremony, she’s hopeful that a great eagle will appear to show her favor, as happened with her father once upon a time.
