The undercut bob pixie is a study in contrasts—sharp structure underneath meets soft movement and separation on top.  In this tutorial, we show the process of simplifying technique while controlling weight and fullness.

The undercut—executed with clippers—establishes a foundation of clean, controlled lines that give this cut its edge. The undercut portion can vary. It can be shaved or have some short length using a clipper. Using the desired guard number, the higher the number, the longer the hair will be. This will result in a softer undercut style. A very short undercut will result in a harder looking hairstyle.  

Using the Feather Plier Razor to carve seamless, weightless texture into the top, this creates a shape that moves effortlessly. The longer the hair on top, the more it resembles a bob haircut. The shorter the hair is on top, the more it resembles a pixie. The choice is yours!

While studying hair trends, practice mastering form, understanding movement, and crafting a haircut that works with the client’s hair texture and thickness. A pixie or bob undercut are hairstyles that have versatility and can be done on straight, wavy or curly hair.
