For the moment this is the last episode in our series about the liberation of the Netherlands after WW-II in 1945.
At almost the same time as the cities of The Hague and Rotterdam, the Dutch capital of Amsterdam was liberated on the 8th of May 1945 from the German occupation by Canadean troups that entered the city via the Berlage bridge. The following festivities lasted the whole summer of 1945.
