ActionAid International The Gambia with Local Rights Programme 9 has facilitated an interface between Duty Bearers and Right Holders on Tax Collection and Utilization. The Local Government Authority with other service providers in North Bank Region has explain how tax is collected and utilize for Public Services within the area. It was a moment of clarification and the Council seek support from the communities in Tax collection. The meeting also creates an opportunity with for the Right Holder to asked pertinent questions that were to clear to them. The meeting was attended by Civil Societies, Women, Youth and other Government Department. It was attended by over 100 inhabitants within Upper Nuimi District. It was recommended that next time they will invite the Central Government to discuss certain issues relating to their lives and livelihoods.
