First I will say both sides of the conversation to demonstrate. You can repeat after me or just listen.

Second, I will say the white half of the conversation (left side of screen), and pause for you to respond with the purple half.

Third, you will say the white half and I will say the purple half.

Sentence Practice:

This is a format for making many sentences. I give you three examples...create more sentences yourself to practice! Write the sentences you create in the comments and I'll respond. :)

Here are the conversations:

Conversation with Friends:

Will you be at the party tomorrow?
No, we aren’t going to go.
What? Why not?
I’ll be at work. Sorry.
That sucks. It’s going to be awesome.
I know. Have fun without us!

Phone Call:

Hello, is this Tim’s mother?
Yes, speaking.
Tim has a fever. You’re going to have to come pick him up.
I’m not going to get off work until 3.
Is there anyone else who can come?
Let me call his grandmother.

Airport Conversation

I need to reschedule my flight to Miami.
Ok. There is one tomorrow at 8 am.
No, I need to be there today.
I’m sorry. You aren’t going to fly today. The weather has all flights cancelled.
Are you kidding me?
I’m sorry sir. Tomorrow is the earliest flight.


Shopping Conversation:

Excuse me, how much is this bike?
It’s $150.
Sorry. I’m not going to pay that much.
Ok. I can go down to $130.
Ok. It’s a deal.
Perfect! Thanks!

Sentence Practice
