Steve Martins is a Polish rock band that emerged from the vibrant music scenes of Opole and Poznań. Their sound draws heavily from the guitar-driven alternative rock of the 1990s, blending raw energy with modern compositional approaches.

While the name “Steve Martins” might evoke associations with the American actor and comedian, it’s a clever nod to the members of the band: “Steve” is the nickname of Stanisław Bitka, and “Martins” refers to the three Marcin members in the group.

The band’s debut album, *19:11*, was released in June 2023 under the independent label Antena Krzyku. The album was recorded at Perlazza Studio in Poznań, owned by Przemysław “Perła” Wejmann, a former guitarist for Acid Drinkers. Featuring ten tracks performed in English, the choice of language reflects the international experiences of the band, particularly vocalist Marcin Mochocki, who lived in Ireland for several years.

Steve Martins’ music fuses the rawness of grunge with the spirit of alternative rock. Critics have likened their sound to legendary bands such as Nirvana, Pixies, and Queens of the Stone Age. Their songs are characterized by dynamic guitar riffs, expressive vocals, and energetic rhythms that leave a lasting impression.
