Ballater & District Pipe Band, led by Drum major Ian Esson, as they started the 2025 Little Masons parade through Ballater in Deeside, Scotland. This was held on Sunday 28th December 2025, starting by the Old Royal Bridge over the River Dee and marching through the town playing Scotland the Brave, Flett from Flotta and Wings as they marched.

Organised by Ballater Juvenile Masons Committee, this local tradition dates back to 1844, where locals provided funds for a children’s Christmas party. Local children have now marched the streets of Ballater every year around Christmas for a hundred and eighty years and still receive a dinner.
