There are many iconic villains in Dune. From the lower-ranking foot soldiers of the Harkonnen, to the bloodthirsty bald brothers that command them, to their uncle, Vladimir Harkonnen, who is so gluttonous and overweight that he requires levitating technology to move around. Oh, AND he commits cruel experiments on slaves by transforming them into humanoid abominations like this strange spider with human hands and keeps them as pets.

Yet, none of these characters fill in the role of the ultimate antagonists in Dune.

Because if you didn’t know yet, the actual villain in this universe, is Paul.
