THE MONARCH HOTEL DOG PET POLICY

We understand that your pet is a valued member of your family, and we are happy to welcome them to our hotel. To ensure that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, we ask that you abide by the following policies:

All pets should be declared/registered upon check-in. Pet vaccinations, especially anti-rabies, must be current and valid and must be presented at the Front Desk.

A non-refundable pet fee of Php 3,000 will be charged per pet, upon check-in. This will cover up to 3 nights of stay. A fee of Php 1,000 will be charged per pet, per night, for additional night’s stay. The pet fee will cover additional deep cleaning and maintenance required for pet-friendly rooms.

Pet owners agree to pay any charges for any damages incurred which may include but are not limited to, stained bedding, carpet or linen, scratches on the furniture, scratches on the floor, infestation, pet odor, extra cleaning that may be required, and/or lost revenue charges while the unit is out of service due to cleaning and repairs, as determined within the sole discretion of the hotel. Pet owners authorize their credit card on record to be charged for the cost of these additional services if the damage is discovered after departure.

Only dogs are allowed as pets in the hotel. We welcome dogs that are a maximum height of 35cm, weight of 6.0kg, and a maximum of two (2) pets allowed per room.

Guests traveling with pets will be assigned to designated pet-friendly rooms on the first floor of the hotel, subject to availability. Pets are only allowed in the rooms in which they are registered.

Pets should not have been sick in the last seventy-two (72) hours. A medical clearance from a certified vet may be required upon check-in.

All pets must be clean, well-groomed, and completely free of fleas and ticks.

Pets are prohibited on public areas of the hotel, including but not limited to: the restaurant outlets, function rooms, swimming pool, gym, and guest elevator. We allow pets to stay at the Sangley Garden, pool bar area, and lobby, provided that they wear diapers at all times. They must be leashed or in a closed carrier and under direct restraint at all times outside the guest room and/or on hotel property. Pet owners shall maintain and keep the property in a good sanitary condition.

Pets must never be left unattended in the guest room or any public areas of the hotel at any time. Dogs left unattended, for a period of more than forty-eight (48) hours, shall be considered abandoned and shall be reported to the proper authorities. The registered guest shall indemnify Hotel Management for any costs, losses, or damages which may result from such action being taken.

Designated pet relief area is at the Sangley Garden. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and disposing of waste properly. A fee of Php 500 will be charged for any waste that is not properly disposed.

Pet owners are responsible for providing all equipment required for the upkeep and feeding of pets. Hotel facilities, equipment, and amenities including but not limited to: hotel bathtub/shower, towels, and linens should not be used for pets. Any use of linen for pets will incur corresponding charges.

Housekeeping services are required and provided daily for Pet Friendly rooms. For the safety and comfort of pet and guests, housekeeping will enter the room only if: (a) the pet is not present, or (b) pet owner is present, and pet is leashed or caged. If housekeeping service is not requested, the guest may hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the guest room door handle. Housekeeping would be doing a room check at least every other day to check on guest room's upkeep.

Pet owners will be required to promptly address any complaints made by fellow guests regarding noise or any other such disturbance that may be caused by the pet(s). In the event that any pet becomes overly disruptive or in any way aggressive towards other guests or employees, the hotel reserves the right to decline accommodation and remove pet immediately from the premises without refund.

The Hotel Management and its employees shall not be liable for any loss, injuries, or illness of any pet for any reason whatsoever.

The guest accepts full responsibility for any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses including reasonable attorney fees, for personal injury or property damage that may be caused by or attributed to their pet/s. The guest agrees to make any reimbursement for such damages on demand.
