falling leaves

Waltz I made for piano, violin and string ensemble in FL Studio 20. Video format inspired by ‪@AZALI00013‬ .

I made another piano waltz, a composition which was originally a piano improvisation I played that I orchestrated afterwards. The name ‘falling leaves’ is meant to be symbolic, as it’s sometimes used to describe the cycle of life (and especially the decline and eventual death). I tried to also literally show the falling of the leaves by the notes falling in the melody, and the wind via the sweeping orchestra. It’s a sort of classical, romantic waltz with, like in my song ‘Moonlight’, the orchestral backing of a more modern piece.

I used FL Studio automation (tempo and volume). Piano is Native Instruments' NOIRE Pure. Violin is a sample or vst from Alpine Project (violin long 1). String ensemble are the Cinematic Strings. Cello is the Tina Guo Cello by Cinesamples. I also added atmospheric, ambient plucked piano strings in the background. Mixing & mastering with Valhalla VintageVerb, Fruity Reeverb 2, Soundgoodizer, iZotope Ozone 6 & oeksound soothe2.
