Using Google Earth, we follow the alignment of the former Great Central Railway through the centre of Leicester. We start at Leicester North, which is the southern terminus of the GCR heriatge railway, we pass over the site of Leicester Central Station, where some buildings and substructure remain, and we finish at the site of Whetstone station, to the south of the city, now given over to a housing development.
