This video shows how to paint a little stream cascading through the woods in Watercolour. In this video, I used A J Ludlow Professional Watercolours, Sunders Waterford 425gms Watercolour paper and Chinese painting and calligraphy brushes. The big Chinese brush I used is call "The Finest Purple Tips Calligraphy and painting brush. It's made with 2 types of animal hair, soft goat hair and hard Yellow Weasel. The detailing brush is called Little Red Hair. They are fantastic to use. Sunders Waterford Watercolour paper are made by St Cuthbert Mill in the UK using 100% cotton for the paper. A J Ludlow Professional Watercolours are Single Pigmented Professional Watercolours handmade by A J Ludlow in the UK. In the painting, I used Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Phthalo Green (YS), Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Sienna. As the Watercolours are single pigmented, they are bright and they made colour mixing super easy. All of A J Ludlow Professional Watercolours are formulated to preserve the property of each pigment. They are permanent, vibrant and transparent. In this video, I used wet-on-wet painting technique to paint the background, mixed colours on the paper to create a seamless colour blending. After that, I used wet-on-dry painting technique to paint the foreground and details to finish the painting. It’s so relaxing and enjoyable. Why not have a go yourself?
