   • How to teach children about disability?  

Some people think of disability as an inherently negative thing, and others see disability as a super power 🦸‍♀️ However, to me, disability is not so-sad bad and it is not AMAZING, it just is.

Had you considered the idea that disability can be a neutral value? That it just is an aspect of a person? That we should put our own biases to the side when we come across the word and not make any assumptions?

This is not to say that living with a disability doesn’t come with hardships, whether that be from your own body or from society, but it doesn’t mean that there can’t also be a joy in our disabled identity and community.
