Windmill Design with Valerie Nesbitt - she created this quilt using thangles, but you could use method of half square triangles.
Thangles work perfectly with jelly rolls and all those other 2 1/2″ strip roll pre-cuts. Thangles work well with 5″ and 10″ squares too. Use scraps cut into 2 1/2 inch strips. A great way to use up left overs from Layer cakes and Nickel packs. This design would convert very easily into a multicolour scrap quilt, and you could set the blocks simply with standard sashing and cornerstones.
