A trip to South Wales and once again I had left my tripod over 300 miles away which saw me use my camera bag and the station furniture leading to some dodgy camera angles !!.
Starting with 37701, 37901 and 60017 running light engine through the station before 60082, with 37672 dead in tow, heads for Alexandra Dock Junction as 37230 passes with a ballast train then 60027 and 37903 head East.
ARC liveried 59101 passes with an empty iron ore train before 37412 heads a Bristol Temple Meads-Cardiff service. 60082 passes two Class 158's heading East light engine before heading back West 10 minutes later.
Great Western Trains liveried 43188 departs with 43133 on a service from London Paddington before 60096 then 60082, again, pass through.
BR blue liveried 37275 passes on a ballast train and 56073 passes with an empty MGR before 37903 and 37254 head for Godfrey Road Sidings. 60015 is seen with a steel train and 43129 and 43145 depart with a service to Cardiff.
Having moved platforms 60096 is seen heading an iron ore train, 47749 is seen with an empty TPO train, 37701 heads a ballast train and 56114, with 37411 dead in tow, works the Alexandra Dock Junction-Warrington freight before 37275 heads for Godfrey Road Sidings. 56114 and 37411 depart.
60016 then passes with a rake of oil tanks, 56035 passes light engine and 09203 trundles by with a trip working.
Recently named 47303 Freightliner Cleveland and 47279 head for Cardiff Tidal, light engine, 60017 is seen before 56113 passes with an MGR and 47770 heads through with a mail train. 37672 runs out of Godfrey Road Sidings before 56053 powers through with a loaded MGR.
Transrail liveried 56113 with an empty MGR passes gleaming EW&S liveried 37885 as Railfreight Distribution liveried 47214 also passes. 37885 pulls away with its Hull-Baglan Bay acetic acid train before 43168 and 43018 depart with a Swansea bound service befor my final shot of a busy day sees 60017 heading East with a short rake of Ferrywagons.
Back at Crewe 37408 arrives with the 18.20 from Bangor before 37412 departs with the 16.45 Cardiff-Manchester Piccadilly.
