Описание к видео 001 Halifax Explosion Book Interview Sheldon MacLeod

The 1917 Halifax Explosion & 1916 Canadian Parliament Buildings
………were caused by WWI espionage agents!

Spies, Espionage & Explosions is a long read and although some of the writing is intensely vivid, much of it is very dense and demanding. Reading it cover to cover is a serious commitment. The novel’s content is loaded with rich historical information.

The world we live in today is nothing more than one conspiracy after another. What the author projects is not the Mother of all conspiracy theories – but the Grand Mother of them all. The first one in Canadian History, rooted in facts, full of history, and mainly focused on Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Conspiracy theory, no. Conspiracy fact, yes. When laden out, like this, this book isn’t about theory or guess work, this book is about years of lining up the pieces and getting the stories right. It is about the death of thousands, it is about ambition, it is about planned death and destruction, it is about our North American history.

The 1917 Halifax Explosion court trial became the official statements of historical records. For over one hundred years the world has accepted the Halifax Explosion as an accident. If you project a position often enough and loudly enough, it becomes the truth. And in this case, what the world had accepted as the truth, was an unfinished understanding. The trial was more concerned with the future insurance issues rather than what really was the cause of the explosion. Some security issues sent up from United States intelligent agencies were ignored by the judge overseeing the trial.

This story’s many characters in the novel are based on actual historical figures, and sixty percent of the events are a from sources of real international archival records. Spies, Espionage & Explosions is a historical fictional account of Wilhelm II’s plans on the invasion of North America in WWI.

In 1900, Germany’s claws were sharpened to clench North America’s resources and support. Kaiser Wilhelm II sent Irish spies to Canada and United States to oversee his personal espionage network. They interconnected and co-operated with the German Embassies in North America, while using, Irish, Russian India and US supporters as paid espionage agents. They partnered when needed.

Nearly two decades before the onset of World War I, Kaiser Wilhelm II set his imperialistic sights on the Americas. But to establish a presence there, Germany had to put the U.S. in its place. To that end, it devised not one, but three plans to attack and invade America. Here's how history could have unfolded very differently.

Imperial German plans for the invasion of the United States were ordered by Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm II from 1897 to 1903. He intended not to conquer the US but only to reduce the country's influence. His planned invasions were supposed to force the US to bargain from a weak position and to sever its growing economic and political connections in the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean and South America, so German influence could increase in those areas.

Spies, Espionage, and Explosions follow the scheming plans of Germany’s war-time leader, Kaiser Wilhelm II, to take over North America. After establishing a vast network of informants for decades, he sends two of his top spies to orchestrate a series of sabotage operations throughout Canada and the US, culminating in the largest of all: The 1917 Halifax Explosion. From the destruction of munitions operations and railways to the burning of the Canadian Parliament Buildings, this story weaves a tale of intrigue and betrayal that the history books will not tell you.

The American British Ambassador Sir Cecil Spring-Rice is based in Washington DC. His North American team of British agents and US Pinkerton agents continually are trying to sabotage the devious German plots throughout Canada and the United States. Using real historical documents and a brilliantly constructed political world, this gripping historical fiction is so potent, it might just convince you it is true.

The novel restricts itself to unfolding five of the major events of that era: (1) 1915 Explosion of munitions vessel in Seattle being sent to Russian Front, (2) 1915/1917 Explosions of munition plants and bridges in Canada and United States, (3) 1916 Black Tom Explosion, storage munition supplies in New York City, (4) 1916 Explosion of the Canadian Parliament Buildings, and (5) 1917 Halifax Explosion in Halifax NS. Canada.
