This footprint chart session looks at how to trade a V-reversal, also known as a key auction reversal. This trade setup appears as a V as a result of aggressive selling being met by equal and opposite buying.

2. High volume - large time frame participants
3. Delta reversal - aggressive shift form one extreme to the other

1. Continue in the direction - high probability
2. Stop run through - if trading below the V-reversal

2. Re-test of absorption zone

Brannigan uses an example from the Italian 10 Year BTP bond on the 19 October 2018 and highlights a few key takeaways. First is to note the aggressive initiative that can be identified appears by one time-framing movement and a lack of overlap. Then an expected breakout lacked volume and was followed by a stop-run and delta reversal. The market then traded sideways as accumulation took place until finally a breakout occurred and saw the market trade higher.
