Mallard - The fastest of them all

Mallard no. 4468 set a world speed record for a steam locomotive of 126 miles per hour, a record that still stands today! This documentary showcases the locomotives last tour in 1963 and the restoration efforts during the 1980's to prepare it for some limited runs from 1985 through to 1988 before it's retirement as an exhibition in the York museum.
