Okay, back in October, I decided to apply for the Southwest Companion Pass. I was then approved for the Southwest Priority card, which offered a welcome offer to earn 85,000 Southwest Points for spending $3,000 in three months.

This increased my Chase 5/24 status to 4/24, which left the door open for me to apply for the Southwest Performance Business credit card and receive the standard welcome offer of 80,000 Southwest Points for $5,000 in spending in three months.

But right after my Southwest Priority card application was approved, US Bank announced that their Smartly credit card would be coming out soon, and this was yet another personal credit card that I wanted to get.

So in this video, I’m going to explain my thought process when applying for both the US Bank Smartly card as well as the Southwest Performance Business card as someone who was at 4/24.
