Fix Overheating Laptop I7 9750H/8750H Undervolt Guide 30C+ Lower Temps | FPS Increase | 100% Safe

Описание к видео Fix Overheating Laptop I7 9750H/8750H Undervolt Guide 30C+ Lower Temps | FPS Increase | 100% Safe

In this tutorial I will show you how you can lower the CPU temperature by up to 30+ Celsius for the I7 8750H/9750H CPU's by editing some simple settings in Throttlestop. This is 100% safe and will increase your battery life as well. You will not cause any damage to your system by undervolting.

Changing the CPU core and cache is the undervolt process. If you want to further reduce temperatures in exchange for a little performance, check out the updated settings below and follow the full video. (Changing -mV settings in the FIVR menu is the undervolt process, the rest of the settings will decrease performance depending on CPU for less heat if desired) You can customize your own profile through Throttlestop for Gaming and revert to back to default settings for applications if you chose to through the Main Menu.

High temperatures overtime can destroy your CPU and even your motherboard. Undervolting will help increase the lifespan of your components. These new Intel chips aren't able to be properly cooled by most laptops, applying a new thermal paste would most likely help or solve this problem. This is a fix to make sure your CPU works as efficiently and as safely as possible without taking apart your laptop and with minimal performance loss.

Since we are going below levels of TJ Max (Max Temp before Throttle 97-100C), this will actually give you a performance boost. When the CPU reaches a temperature that could potentially damage your system, your CPU will limit / down clock itself to protect itself which will result in stuttering and performance loss. We are attempting to avoid that.

UPDATE: KEEP BD PROCHOT CHECKED

If you are going to follow this guide DO NOT USE INTEL XTU AT THE SAME TIME/UNINSTALL!

You do not need to hit the 'Turn On' button for this tutorial to work, this is a obsolete button meant for older generation CPU processors.

IMPORTANT : YOUR SYSTEM WILL REPEATEDLY CRASH IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW STEPS BELOW

To avoid a boot loop, test stability of your settings before setting the task scheduler.

your computer will be safe, follow directions below*

If you prefer to gain a bit more performance for a little bit more heat at around the 80C max load temperature (This is dependent on the cooling situation of your laptop), try setting the Turbo Boost Short/Long to 30 under the TPL menu. In the same menu, under miscellaneous, set the max value to 36. In the FIVR menu set all cores to 36. Many users have reported great success with this, but it is your preference. Do realize this will be different for every machine, try tinkering around with the settings to find the sweet spot for your system.

Some laptop computer manufactures come factory undervolted. In this case you would most likely experience instability issues with the -125mV setting I recommended, I found many users reaching stability around the -100mV range but ultimately it's going to be up to you to figure out what is stable for your specific system and adjust as necessary. Decrease the CPU Cache and CPU Core voltage in -10mV increments.

For people that recently updated their BIOS and have settings in Throttlestop grayed out and unable to change settings, head to the BIOS menu and load the setup default values and restart. If this doesn't work, look into rolling back your BIOS. Type your model number of your laptop on google and try to find a older version BIOS and flash it to unlock the settings in the FIVR menu. This is the only way to do this unfortunately.

If you ever want revert back to the stock settings, make sure the program is not running in the background, navigate to the ThrottleStop folder and delete the ThrottleStop.ini file. Make sure to select shutdown instead of restarting and your good to go.

If your stuck in a Boot Loop just run windows in safe mode and follow directions above. Let me know how it went in the comments below as well as questions or concerns.
