Things aren't built to last. One of two steel straps that hold the fuel tank in my truck rusted through and broke 500 miles from home. (I said 800 miles in the video, but that was the tire blowout.) That left only the forward band holding the long, skinny fuel tank off the asphalt. A Harbor Freight ratchet strap got us home. This short video shows how I replaced the broken strap and why I didn't replace the other one at the same time.
