Welcome back! The closed beta for Gwent is out and I'm loving it. Here's a beginners guide on my way to play Crach an Craite. And yes, I also have no clue how to properly pronounce that name. Any suggestions, comment down below!

Crach An Craite Guide:
The main strategy of Crach an Craite is to have his Warriors be the main card that gets your strength up. Having as many Warriors in your deck and having his ability to summon two more, means that these should be your main focus on the board. In conjunction with the Warriors, I highly recommend having a couple Tuirseach Axemen, aswell as 2 War Cry cards so that you will get them. There are fallbacks to this strategy so don't worry.

Strategy Steps: (The Perfect Game)
We lose round one. Play any Prize Winning Cows and any Bezerkers.
Round Two. To start, revive a Bezerker. Then, play any Tuirseach Axemen. Play all your Warriors. Then do Crach an Craite's ability, to summon 2 more. Once done, use the War cry/Commanders Horn card to double your melee cards. Then, use your Clan Heymay Skald(s) on the same row to increase them even more. Note: Try to keep your warriors at different strength levels, use a
Round 3. Use any longships/gold cards you have. You could save a Priestess of Freya for this round and revive a warrior from round 2. My recommendation is to save playing high value cards right away since your opponent might be holding a scorch.

Variations:
So, you never play the perfect game so you can't do that every game. However, there are some variations/fallbacks which you can do.
You don't have to lose round 1. I normally end up losing round 1 if I have to play first. However, if you do play on round 1, try to save your gold cards and longships.
If your Tuirseach Axemen get killed before you play your Warriors, it's not the end of the world, just makes it harder for a win.
If your Warriors get taken out by a scorch, now is the perfect time to use your fallback Longship cards. Save gold cards though if this happens
If the Frost weather gets played, your War Cry can still be used. However, use any Heymay Skald(s) to increase it to 3 FIRST, and then use War Cry.

x1 Alzur's Thunder
x1 Swallow Potion
x1 Any Gold Card (Since this is a deck that can be played from level 1, I recommend Geralt)

Optional/Changable:
x2 Young Bezerker
x2 Clan Tuirseach Skirmishers
x1 Donar an Hindar
x1 Clan Brokvar Archer (To keep warriors on different str. levels and give some offence)
x1 Restoration
x1 Clear Skies
x1 Lacerate (To be used on your own row to be able to use War Cry on them)
