Trams & Buses at Victoria Square - Adelaide Metro

Описание к видео Trams & Buses at Victoria Square - Adelaide Metro

In this video we visit Victoria Square; a major public square in the centre of the Adelaide CBD. Here we see various public transport services in and around the square, include Adelaide Metro trams (including Bombardier Flexity Classic's, and Alstom Citadis trams) and various different buses. On this particular day trams on the Glenelg line were terminating at Victoria Square while works were taking place on the Botanic Gardens & Festival Plaza tram extensions.

Victoria Square (also known as Tarntanyangga) opened in 1837 as one of five public squares in the Adelaide CBD. It served as the city terminus of Adelaide's Glenelg tram line for many years until October 2007 when the line was extended further into the CBD at City West via Adelaide Station. The tram stop at Victoria Square was rebuilt as part of this project.
